Rebel Without A Claus

Rate this book
Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year—unless you’re Quinn Langley.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve hated the festive season for as long as I can remember, but this year really takes the chestnut. My family has run Snow Cove’s grotto for the past sixty years, but when my dad—our resident Santa Claus—gets the flu, it’s down to me to find a new Santa and save Christmas.
If only Grandpa would stop spiking the eggnog…
Oh, and if I had more than twenty-four hours to do it. Not to mention that all the people who can help me are already busy with their own plans for the Christmas fair.
Until Nicholas freaking White knocks on the grotto door.
I haven’t seen or spoken to him since he took my v-card and abandoned me in a motel room nine years ago, but he’s my only option. I have no choice but to let him be my Santa Claus, or I risk ruining Christmas for hundreds of kids.
The last place I want to be is stuffed in the grotto with Nicholas, being Santa’s not so happy little helper, still desperately trying to hold onto my grudge.
Now, if only we could stop finding ourselves under mistletoe, that would be great…

Santa saving Christmas never looked so good and it’s available on KU. Aw I just loved this.

Santa’s grotto needs saving… is there a Nicholas around? Festival feels and a family to love. Let’s heat up Christmas.

Quinn needs to replace Santa with only a few days til
The big day. Her family owns a farm with a grotto and her dads unwell. What happens when the guy you never want to see again is the only one who can cover the job?

This has everything you expect from Emma Hart and a Christmas read. I really enjoyed every minute.

I liked this one...

It was funny, with fun banter and bickering between the two main characters, Quinn and Nicholas...and I especially liked the whole Scrooge and Grinchy-like attitude in heroine...LOL, now that was a blast...and of course, behind it all is a warm heart melted by the right guy...awwww

Lovely...

I picked this book because I liked the cover. One more time should have at least read the synopsis...
I'm not a big fan of second chance romance books, especially the ones that I had difficulty keep reading as they end up not keeping my attention... Unfortunately, Nicholas and Quinn's story wasn't very interesting...

It was a surprise when the author said she had this one coming out. And I think it was originally only supposed to be a novella, but it turned into a full story. And I’m glad, because it was so much fun! I loved grumpy Quinn. While I personally adore the holidays, there are some things I also agreed with her about. And then there was Nicholas. I fell in love with him as well. I was a little surprised with his name there weren’t any “St. Nicholas” or “St. Nick” jokes. But that’s okay. Emma Hart knows how to make me laugh out loud as I read between the banter back and forth with characters, the crazy situations, the internal dialog of her characters, or the crazy elderly relative that always pops up in her stories.

There were so many scenes that just tickled me so much I was laughing out loud. There was one that was a teaser she shared in the group, about “Call me elf one more time!”

Elf is one of my favorite Christmas movies. There was when Quinn was thinking about his beard and had the thought that what his beard was best suited for was sitting on. Lol. And then there was a moment where she was given a long name that included Grinch and Scrooge, and as I was reading it, my brain thought “Scrooge McDuck” which wasn’t actually what was said to her. But then, in perfect sync with my thoughts, Quinn restated the name adding “McDuck” to it. I’m pretty sure I need to hang out with the author some time. I think it would be a blast.

A perfectly fun holiday story with both sexy times and sweet times, definitely a great surprise from the author this year!

Quinn doesn’t love Christmas . . . and this year is setting up to be a real winner of a holiday. When her father, who is the local Santa, comes down with the flu taking both him and her mom out of the family business of running the local Christmas grotto, Quinn is left holding the reins . . . and in need of a Santa Claus in a town known for its holiday festivities. When the only option happens to be her highschool flame from almost a decade ago who left her high and dry all those years ago, she knows the season can’t get any worse.

When Nicholas offers to fill in as the town Santa, he most definitely has ulterior motives. But, Quinn has no intentions of making anything easy on him. And, As the resident Grinch and holder of a grudge spanning 9 years, she is definitely going to make Nicholas work for it.

Even though the heat between them is hot enough to melt all the snow and their friendship seems to be slowly getting back on the right track, Quinn is terrified for more since Nicholas is only in town temporarily for the holiday. But, what if Santa has a bit of a secret he isn’t quite ready to reveal yet?

Rebel Without a Claus was tons of flirty fun with quick and witty banter, a grandpa who loves his eggnog a bit too much, a matchmaking but well meaning mother and an incredibly pregnant and spoiled sister adding to the fun of Quinn’s grinchiness and Nicholas’s holiday cheer as this couple works though a ton of baggage while working to save the town Christmas Grotto and Santa Claus experience.

Emma Hart pulled together a crazy cast of characters that add humor and all the feels because there is always something deeper than expected going on that unexpectedly adds to the depth of plot while keeping the story a fantastic holiday rom com. I really adored the verbal sparring between Quinn and pretty much everyone, but especially Nicholas as she complains about the holiday (while secretly loving it). And, I loved just how all in Nicholas was trying to make up for the way things ended between him and Quinn in the past. 5 stars!

5 star review Rebel Without A Claus by Emma Hart

Christmas is my most favourite time of the year. It’s a magical time full of family and friends but not for Quinn Langley who cannot stand it. Ironically her family are Christmas crazy and she is their Grinch. Her family runs a Christmas tree farm , grotto and her dad is the town Santa.

Rebel Without A Claus was a witty, funny , fast paced story that ticked the boxes for me. The characters were easy to relate to and I quickly found myself invested in Quinn and Nicholas White’s second chance at love story.

Quinn is shocked when she comes face to face with Nicholas again, it’s clear that these two still have chemistry sizzling between them. I found myself snort laughing on too many occasions to count and my husband wanted to know if I was okay. The banter between them was witty and Quinn’s family were great secondary characters that added an additional layer to my enjoyment.

This was an entertaining read as Quinn and Nicholas come to terms with the past and leap into a future together.

Santa is down and Quinn needs to find a replacement ASAP when someone from her past jumps in to help. Quinn isn’t too excited about it, but it is her only option at this point.

I absolutely adored Quinn. She is and witty. I love that she is a grinch, despite the fact her family lives and breathes Christmas. Her entire family is full of characters you just can’t help but love and I found myself wishing I could join her family for the holidays. Nicholas enjoys the holidays and he is the town Santa. Plus, with the history he has with Quinn he enjoys spending the time with her.

There is no shortage of chemistry between Quinn and Nicholas from the moment they see each other again after all these years. I loved the banter between them from the start, too. So many times I found myself laughing at loud when it came to their interactions.

If you’re looking for a second chance, holiday rom com this is one to read!

A sweet and sexy holiday read!

Rebel Without a Claus is a second chance romance holiday rom com, with a bit of forced proximity (snowstorm! No heat! Cuddling for warmth!) in for extra fun. I loved that Quinn was the Grinchy--ahem, grumpy--one to Nicholas's more sunshine-y stand-in Santa. There's not a lot of surprises here--readers can see a lot of what surprises Quinn coming about a mile away, even with the snow--but snarky banter, a sweet romance, and a sprinkling of sexy times (not to mention a little holiday magic) keep the story feeling fresh. Yes, better communication could have relieved some of the tension, but their reasons for not talking until they did made sense too.

If you're looking for a light and fun holiday read, look no further! But stay away from Grandpa's eggnog. It's pretty hard core ;)

ARC kindly received for an honest review.

This was an ok book but Emma Hart, but not my fave. I like Nicholas and Quinn together, and Nicholas was particularly cheeky and fun, but at times the book felt a bit toooo snarky for me. Their banter and connection was fun, but for some reason this one just didn't sit as well with me as Emma Hart books normally do. I'm sure others will enjoy this - it's just me this time around.

Nicholas and Quinn were hilarious. They were high school sweethearts and hadn’t seen each other in years. Quinn wasn’t happy to see him and was still holding a grudge. Nicholas heard Quinn needed help with Christmas and went to help but she was pretty stubborn about accepting. She finally gave in and slowly some of the bitterness towards Nicholas started wearing off but she was taking her time. They were very funny moments especially with Quinn’s family. And Nicholas realized he couldn’t live without Quinn and made changes. Great story.

Rebel Without A Claus reminds me of Emma Hart's older books. It's sassy, funny and a fun second chance romance surrounded by Christmas. There is one extremely funny mistletoe scene that made the entire book worth it. Quinn reminded me a lot of Brooke from Being Brooke, one of Emma's first novels. Being Brooke is one of my favorite EH novels so take that as you will.

For a steamier holiday romance, read Rebel Without A Claus.

Cute and funny Christmas second chance romcom. I really enjoyed Quinn’s character. She was super relatable and hilarious. Girl grinch? Yes. The make was a perfect balance to Quinn’s scroogeness. The family dynamics also made this a fun read. I loved Gramps and his egg nog rum drinking in the morning.

Recommend if you’re looking for a cute, quick, and fun holiday read.

I honestly wouldn’t recommend this book to my worst enemy. It was genuinely just deplorable- extremely fast paced and overall just- don’t do it to yourself. It’s not worth it- go watch a Hallmark movie or something.

Just wow… I honestly don’t know how Emma Hart does it, but this book is so different from her other books. Yes, it’s still a romantic comedy but with a twist, a festive Christmas twist.
But honestly Emma has done an amazing job once again, I literally fell in love with the story and the characters from the very first page. It had everything you could ever want, the drama, the festive spirit, the craziness, but it all ties together pretty well, but the best part was the whacky relative which always makes the story that much more funnier.
This story helps put you in the holiday spirit because you can’t help but get so caught up in the story, plus Quinn is such an hilarious character as she appears all hard and unamused on the outside but loves things on the inside but doesn’t like showing her true self considering most of the time things don’t always work out the way you want them too, but in her eyes it’s better to be prepared for the worst just in case.
I honestly thought that the way Emma wrote Quinn she did a great job because she’s so different to her other characters, but still, it works well, and you can’t help but love her for the way she is. Plus, with everything that’s going on at home, you just end up feeling for her as this year is a lot different for her than normal and she’s having to take on a lot more responsibilities than she’s used too. But still I love the sass from her as she made the plot just that more fun.
I loved everything that happened in this book and honestly couldn’t fault it. I thought that the chemistry between Quinn and Nicholas was hilarious and that their banter was off the charts. You can’t help but fall in love with Nicholas even though he was pretty quiet about his own life, but still it was still amazing and worth every minute.
I am super excited for what else Emma writes as her books are just that gripping, but still if you’re looking for a good Christmas read, then this would be perfect for you.

The last thing that Quinn wants to do is go ahead and be in charge of the family grotto, but with her dad ill with the flu and her mom is looking after him, her sister so pregnant and milking it so that she can get out of helping or even doing anything for herself, then you have Jazzy who is driving everyone insane with her singing, and then you’ve got her grandad who’s idea of getting through the holidays is to drink spiked eggnog, she’s got no choice. What makes it even worse is that she now needs to find a replacement Santa otherwise they won’t be able to open the Grotto…
However, when Nicholas turns up, Quinn honestly can’t believe that so many years later he’s walked back into her life. With no other choice, Quinn has to go ahead and hire Nicolas to be the Santa for them, but will there be problems for them, or will the Grotto go off without a hitch??
What’s the reason for Nicholas’ sudden reappearance and what’s he hiding from Quinn??
Will they be able to get over what happened in the past???

I was provided an ARC via the author, all opinions are my own.

This was hilarious and the perfect read to get you ready for the holidays. If you are a fan of romcoms and need a little Christmas spirit to brighten your mood, this is a great book to do just that. I know I've been really stressed out over the last few weeks for several reasons, and this was the perfect read to relax with. There was great banter between the characters, and some really funny moments. I really loved the concept of the family that runs the single most Christmassy booth in the Holiday Village in their winter wonderland destination town is a total Grinch!

Quinn hates Christmas, but her family runs the Christmas Grotto in town every year where her dad plays the part of Santa. This year he's got the flu, and Quinn is left to run things by herself while the rest of her family is busy with other parts of the family business or taking care of other family members. Left to find a fill in Santa at the last minute, Quinn is faced with the last person she ever expected to see again, Nicholas White. Nicholas offers to fill in as Santa while he's in town for the holidays visiting family, but Quinn isn't so sure it's a good idea. They have some unfinished business from the past that she isn't quite over. Left with no other choice and no other options, they agree to work together and clear the air. Nicholas is determined to get back in Quinn's good graces and figure out if there is anything she actually does like about the Christmas season.

The characters in this were really great. As always there is a hilarious grandparent character that Emma Hart does so well! I loved the grandpa, his antics added comic relief throughout the book. Quinn's family was a riot, I'm glad she finally told her sister she was being completely ridiculous. I really enjoyed Nick and Quinn together as well. It was kind of an enemies to lovers romance, but they weren't really enemies, Quinn was being cautious and it played along nicely with her Scrooge attitude toward the holiday season. It was fun to watch her grouchy persona melt as Christmas grew closer and she became more festive each day. I'm kind of with her when it comes to Christmas, I hate crowds and all of the consumerism that surrounds the holiday. I love the lights and the family time and the holiday traditions we have.

If you are in need of a fun read to get your holiday spirit going, give this a read. It is funny, has great banter, moderate spice, and a good story. It was exactly what I needed after a couple of weeks of craziness and I'm feeling a bit more ready to embrace the holidays.

Let the Christmas reading season begin HO HO HO HO Friends since high school Quinn and Nicholas spend the night together, friends do that?, after that night something happens and both are unexpectedly separated, only that Santa Claus is always requested during the end of the year, and Quinn's family knows it, his grandfather is no longer able, his father is sick, his mother busy with everyone, his sister pregnant and having to deal with chaos Quinn will be responsible for organizing everything, yes, everything, in lack of Santa Claus Nicholas appears after years and accepts the challenge. Both will have to deal with an abruptly broken friendship, confused feelings and a hectic Christmas.

First of all I would like to say that I was very happy to receive the advance copy of the book to do the review from one of the authors I love the most and who makes me read even if I am lazy.

This book is a hilarious mess many times during the reading I imagined myself in that crazy house during Christmas and this is what we want in Christmas books to feel all that enchantment as if we were in that place. I will start by saying how much I loved the quick and drama free introduction of Nick and Quinn's past, many saw her as a rebel and I just thought, is that being a rebel? So I went without knowing, they both complement each other so well in the storyline and have such a connection that you just want more, more and more. Sometimes Quinn annoyed me and completed me so much with her patience-less way that I stopped and reflected how much we are alike and I love books that portray real people, in real circles, without trivialization and plots that would never happen in real life. In many parts of the book Nicholas' family is mentioned but at no time are they introduced in the story this was the only thing that bothered me maybe we can use grief as an excuse but I still think it would fit there an appearance from them, Erin and Oscar were amazing secondary characters for a backdrop and interaction between the couples. We also have the right amount of sensuality here, two scenes at most but very exciting and engaging.

RWAC is a book with an extra Christmas spirit, with a decisive, sexy and mature female character, with a sweet, sarcastic and charming male character, it's a read without complications and difficult terms, suitable for adults and very light, without much drama, something to laugh a lot and fall in love with all the characters inserted there, an addictive, exciting and amazing read.

Thanks to Emma and Stacy for the advance copy (ARC).

“Good luck finding your Santa Claus.”
“I need more than luck , I need a truckload of vodka.”

Christmas has never really been one of Quinn’s favorite holidays, she has just never understood all the fuss but it would seem this year its up to her to find some Christmas spirit or a major family tradition will be broken! With her sister just about ready to pop, her mum caring for her sick dad and well her dad being sick, its up to Quinn to pull of a Christmas miracle by not only finding a Santa in peek season but so running the family’s Christmas grotto! The only problem is where will she find a Santa so late in the game?! So when Nicholas White lands up at her door Quinn has little but no choice but accept the help of the guy who stole her v-card… looks like this is going to shape up to be an interesting little Christmas.

••

"Who was this Nicholas White? He wasn’t like I remembered. This version made me simultaneously want to slap him and kiss him. It was very jarring. Mostly because I didn’t know what I wanted to do most."

I absolutely adore all of Emma Harts books, she just has a way of captivating her reads with these cute and quirky stories. Rebel Without A Claus was the perfect combination of sassy banter mixed in with a cute little Christmas romance.

••

I really liked following Quinn as she had to contend with all things Christmas. It was such a nice change getting a grinchy heroine and boy did Quinn play this role to perfection! I loved that deep down she to had the festive spirit. I absolutely loved the entire Langley family, they were such a hoot and added a good amount of comic relief to the book! I especially loved grandpa Langley, he was just perfect with his day drinking and card games!

••

As for our hero Nick, he was genuinely a really nice guy, I loved getting to see him play Santa and gosh the steamy banter between him and Quinn was oh so good! I do wish we had got to see a bit more of his life but that didn’t really take away from the story as a whole.

••

Rebel Without A Claus is the perfect fast read to get you into the festive spirit! This book will have you laughing out loud at all of the sassy things that come out of Quinn’s mouth while rooting for her and Nicholas!

Rebel without a Claus is Emma Hart’s newest hilarious book. I know when I open one of her books I am in for a sassy and funny ride. Add in Christmas and that is the bright star on top of the tree fun!

Quinn despises Christmas. She is a total grinch and this year she is stressed to the max. Her family is in charge of Santa’s Grotto at the Christmas fair so it’s ten days of cheer. And this year she is in charge since her father (Santa) has the flu, her mother has to care for him, her sister is about to pop and her grandpa won’t lay off the egg nog. And now, she has to find a new Santa in 24-hours! She is in Christmas hell especially when the only person to come forward is him. Nicholas. The boy she crushed on throughout high school who was her first everything until he left her in a hotel room nine years ago. She definitely doesn’t want to spend the next ten days together but he is the only one to save the holiday season in the grotto. It’s for the kids. She just needs to stay away from the mistletoe…

Nicholas is only in town for the holidays after his grandma passed away. He really didn’t have any plans so why not spend it playing Santa and be around Quinn. First, he needed her to agree and to prove that he didn’t want to leave her. He was a dumb kid and now he was a man who wants to make it up to her. Bring on the mistletoe…

Omg! This story is full of entertainment! I laughed so hard. Quinn is full of sass and sarcasm. She has a soft center even with her hard exterior. Nicholas is yummy! Nerdy hot. These two just get each other. It’s a build-up of sexual tension too. Quinn puts up a good fight.

Quotes:

That’s right, Nicholas. Take a good look at what you once abandoned in bed, bitch.
Boy. I really needed that coffee. My brain was feisty this morning.

“Now I’m a real Santa Claus.”
I smiled, picking up my clipboard. He really did make a great Santa. “Yes, you are.”
“What are the chances of you sitting on my lap by the end of the night?”
“Absolutely zero.”
He patted his leg with a wink. “I’ll be here if you change your mind.”

“I guess you don’t want another game of Monopoly?”
“I would rather dance through the town square wearing nothing but a Santa hat and nipple tassels while singing Christmas carols.” “For what it’s worth, I’d prefer that option, too.”

When her father comes down with the flu, Quinn Langley is tasked with organizing the Santa's Grotto her family sponsors at the annual Snow Cove Christmas market. She knows it will be a challenge to find someone to fill in for her dad as Santa with only 24 hours left before the market opens, and she's about to give up when her former friend from high school, Nicholas White, knocks on the door. He's back in their hometown to help clean out his grandmother's house following her recent passing, but otherwise he has nothing to do, so he volunteers to be Quinn's Santa. She's reluctant to accept his help because things between them ended badly, but with no other choice, Quinn is forced to try and put the past behind her. That proves to be more difficult than expected when the chemistry between them burns as hot as ever, but she can't let herself get too attached. After all, Nicholas is only back in Vermont temporarily. What happens when the holidays are over and he has to return to his real life in Illinois?

This super cute, laugh-out-loud funny story was absolutely the perfect way to get myself into the Christmas spirit. Nicholas and Quinn made a terrific couple and I found it very easy to cheer them on to their HEA. Nicholas was such a tease, and I enjoyed the way he tricked grinchy Quinn into admitting that there were things she actually liked about Christmas. Even though I'm a Christmas lover, I couldn't help but find Quinn's snarky, sometimes inappropriate thoughts about the Christmas season to be absolutely hilarious. (I even agreed with some of them; if I never hear a certain Mariah Carey song again in my life, it will be too soon.)

The book's secondary characters were also a ton of fun, particularly Quinn's very pregnant sister Verity and their poker-playing, eggnog-spiking grandpa. Quinn's best friend Erin, whose family owned the local bakery/cafe, was also an interesting character. She was casually dating a guy named Oscar but it seemed like there might be more to the story of their relationship. I certainly wouldn't be disappointed to read more about them (or even just Erin) in a future book!

Overall, I adored "Rebel without a Claus" and highly recommend it for all holiday romance and romantic comedy fans. I look forward to Emma Hart's next release.

A surprise festive release from Emma..... this was a fun and festive read, full of holiday banter and an array of characters you will love!

Quinn lives in a small town and her family run the Santa Grotto every year. But Quinn is like the odd one out..... she hates Christmas and is her family's very own Grinch. Disaster strikes her Dad is struck down with the flu only a week before Christmas and Quinn is asked to run the grotto as well as find a stand in Santa..... where on Earth is she supposed to find a Santa a this late stage?! Much to her disgust a blast from the past in the form of Nicholas White, her ex boyfriend who just upped and left her after doing the dirty deed, appears at her Grotto door offering to be her Santa!

Nicholas is back to his hometown after losing his Gran and has offered to do up her house as his Mum just can't face it. He's heard there is a job vacancy for a Santa and goes offering his services to Quinn, not realising just how much of a grudge she holds for him after he left her in a hotel room and never got back in touch! But there is no one left to be her Santa, and so they must learn to get along and get in the Christmas spirit of things!

I loved Quinn and her grinchy ways, I must say of feel that way myself most Christmases! Her family is full of characters, from her very pregnant and snarky sister to her drunk Grandfather, and her mother her runs round after everyone with not a minute to herself!

Nick is a great character who loves to push Quinn's buttons..... the old chemistry between them is still there, and when we find out just what went on in that hotel room all those years ago, Nick is determined to offer her a do over!

A thoroughly enjoyable holiday read full of banter, family drama and of course Christmas spirit with a touch of heat.

This book was kindly sent to me from the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

She’s a bit of a Grinch and he’s the one who got away, but now she needs a Santa Claus and he’s the only option left...

For someone who lives in a town called Snow Cove, and who’s family owns the Christmas tree farm and Santa’s Grotto, Quinn Langley has a really strong dislike for Christmas. But with her sister heavily pregnant, her dad coming down with the flu, her mum looking after her father and her niece, her brother-in-law running the tree farm, and her grandpa living off eggnog, it’s up to Quinn to run Santa’s Grotto. Her first problem however, is finding a Santa Claus since her father is incapacitated. With everyone in Snow Cove already preoccupied with their own businesses, it’s an absolute miracle that Nicholas White has returned to town for the holidays. The only downside is that they haven’t spoken in nine years after sleeping together at Graduation and Nicholas skipping town the next day. Now that they’re working so closely together, they both have to confront their feelings for one another, and Nicholas has made two things clear – he wants to find out what Quinn secretly loves about Christmas, and he wants to make it up to her for his poor performance on Graduation night. But with Nicholas inevitably heading back to the city once the holidays are over, Quinn doesn’t want to have her heart broken all over again

Christmas romances are the best and I desperately want to spend Christmas in Snow Cove! The world of Snow Cove sounded so magical and I only wish we could spend more time exploring all the festive magic the town has to offer. Clearly I just need to experience a White Christmas in a small festive town!

Emma has yet to deliver on a romance I didn’t enjoy, and I really loved following Quinn and Nicholas’ relationship develop throughout the book. Second chance romances with a side of forced proximity are seriously the best, and then this had Christmas as the cherry on top! What more could you honestly want!

Once again, Emma had a whole bunch of fun side characters that added even more laugh-out-loud moments to an already fun, comedy-filled book. It’s the type of book where I’d be totally fine with just reading about all these fun friendships and family dynamics. I’m so keen for Emma to return to Snow Cove and all these fun characters.

Romance fans, make sure this book is on your reading list this month because you need to experience the festive magic of Snow Cove and the romance cuteness of Quinn & Nicholas!

𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 𝗦𝗡𝗔𝗣𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗧: If you’re in the mood for a laugh out loud second chance, holiday romance then you don’t want to miss Rebel without a Clause by Emma Hart! I laughed through the entire book!

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve read a book by Emma Hart but reading this reminded me of why I love her books so much. She writes relatable, sarcastic, and hilarious heroines that all readers want to befriend. She writes heroes that we love and hope to have for ourselves one day (luckily, I have a hero like this of my own)! And her plots are always filled with the best types of scenarios. In this one, the heroine is stuck working with her ex-boyfriend at her family’s Christmas stand. It’s not easy and her mouth gets into a few messes, but it allows her the chance to get over the past and come to an understanding as to why he left her all those years ago…

While our heroine in this book is the grinch incarnate, the book is magical and festive, and I felt all of the Christmassy vibes while reading! It’s also got its spicy moments so if you enjoy a bit of smut in your books then you’ll enjoy this one!

All around, I recommend this second chance romantic comedy set at Christmas time! I also recommend all of her books because they are FUNNY!!!

All I want for Christmas is Santa~

Nine years ago he took her V-card and left town. He broke her heart. She's the Grinch in this story and he's just showed back up in town for the holidays and to clean out his grandmother's cottage.
Quinn is so negative about everything. Nothing makes her happy. She grumbles constantly. And all that is when she doesn't have to take over running Santa's house for ten days. This year her dad who plays Santa has the flu, her mom is stressed to the max, her pregnant sister is being a real pain, there's no Santa, and all the decorations need to be put up. Then, in walks Nicholas and offers to be Santa. She has no choice but to accept his offer. While working together, he explains because of his family he had to leave her like he did. She begins to forgive him, the Mistletoe Rule comes into the picture, and the negativity turns to Christmas spirit. They decide to gift themselves to each other for Christmas.
The dichotomy of this story is Quinn's negativity coming from someone who is actually thoughtful and has a really kind heart. In the beginning, you conceive her constant complaining to be selfish and sometimes hurtful. But she grows on you and that saved the story for me. Nicholas is just a sweetheart that everyone falls in love with.
If you're looking for a very simply written, easy holiday story with little substance, this book is for you. There are some chuckles and warm fuzzies, too.

First things first; I really like the cover of this book!
This story is a fast paced and hilarious festive read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Quinn is a Christmas hating Grinch who comes from a Christmas loving family and town. For many, many years her family has run the Christmas grotto and tree farm. When her father who plays Santa becomes ill, she needs to find a stand in fast! When the only person available turns out to be someone that hurt her, will things go smoothly?
The chemistry between Nicholas and Quinn is clear to see and I loved them together. I loved the banter between them.
I loved Quinn, I thought she was hilarious. Her love for her family was clear to see. I liked the banter between her and Nicholas. I liked the build up of them getting together. I liked how Nicholas loved to wind his little Grinch up.
I loved the family moments in this story. The demanding sister, the drinking grandpa and the stressed mother were amusing to see. I liked that despite her feelings on Christmas, Quinn stepped up for her family.
This story is a hilarious festive second chance romance.
I really liked the ending of this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

Just weeks before Christmas, Quinn Langley, finds herself in a bit of a pickle. Not a huge fan of Christmas like the rest of her family, Quinn is a self-proclaimed Grinch. Her father, who has always been Santa for their family business, is ill and unable to fulfill his jolly duty. Quinn's mother is stressed to the max, watching her toddler granddaughter while her daughter, Verity, heavily pregnant again, sits and does nothing much of anything but complain. Without a Santa in the Christmas grotto their family runs, Christmas as they know it will be ruined. No pressure here, Quinn, but its completely up to you to find a Santa Claus as quick as humanly possible.

As luck, or fate, would have it, Quinn runs into charming, handsome blast from her past, Nicholas White. He's in town helping sort out things at his late grandmother's cottage, and since he has nothing better to do with his time, he agrees to be Santa for Quinn and her family. Already in a foul mood because it's Christmastime, Quinn knows that being around Nick at all hours will not help matters any, but she's desperate and he's willing to be Santa, so she decides to take him up on the offer.

Nick was Quinn's first love and he broke her heart clean in two when he left without a word and moved away all those years ago. Quinn can't deny that the attraction to Nick is still blazing hot, and it's only a matter of time before she isn't able to control it any longer.

Rebel Without a Claus is holiday romance at its best. It is full of hilarious holiday antics, family drama, and an angsty buildup of attraction which leads to a very satisfying spicy and sweet mix of romance. Thank you to the author for providing me with an early review copy of this book. I loved it!

Finally a Christmas themed story that I actually loved. Quinn hates Christmas the lights, the shopping, the music, especially Mariah Carey – I feel her pain there! This is a problem as Christmas is her family business. Not only do they sell trees and wreaths but they’ve also ran Snow Cove’s Santa’s grotto for the last sixty years. That’s all well and good but this year her dad has flu and it’s up to Quinn to make sure that all the children aren’t left disappointed by Santa’s absence. The trouble is the only Santa she can find is Nick White, the man who stole her virginity before not only doing a midnight flit but sticking her with the bill for the motel room!

I love Emma Hart’s characters and Quinn is a woman after my own heart especially when it comes to Christmas music. She’s strong and snarky with some fantastic dialogue and Nick is the perfect match for her meeting her quip for quip but for me the best thing about this book was that it didn’t follow the standard Hallmark norm with nary a wealthy, business man/woman type out to destroy the town before seeing the error of their ways in sight. It might just be a Christmas tradition for me to re-read this book every December going forward.

I loved this book so much! This book is Almost Christmas perfection!

I loved the hate/love relationship between Quinn and Nicholas. The back and forth banter between them was hilarious. How they did not hold their sarcasm and witt back. They felt real and genuine through the entire book.

I loved the family and friend dynamic. Grandpa with the eggnog was hilarious! Erin seemed like a true hearted best friend. I appreciated how she was not afraid to speak her truths to Quinn. However, she had the purest intentions and compassion.

I will say, I was extremely annoyed how Quinn's sister was acting and treating her family just because she was pregnant. She was not on bed rest. As someone who has a disability and has been pregnant, when she had that bell and acted like royalty that pissed me off. She was pregnant, not in an accident. She should have told her family, I am pregnant but I would love to do what I can to help.

It made me so happy when Quinn finally stood up to her sister. After all, this was her sister's second pregnancy. Her sister knew what to expect from being pregnant with Jazzy.

I love Emma Hart's books! I highly recommend this festive read! When you are finished reading this book. You should check out my favorite book of hers, Four Day Fling!
